David Johnson
Mr. David Johnson is Chairman of the Board of Progress Energy Resources Corp. Prior to this he was Executive Chairman of Progress Energy Resources Corp. from January 2009 to February 2011, President and Chief Executive Officer of ProEx Energy Ltd. from July 2004 to January 2009, President and Chief Executive Officer of Progress Energy Ltd. from November 2001 to July 2004 and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Encal Energy Ltd. from July 1994 to April 2001. Mr. Johnson has over thirty years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry including a background in production, reservoir evaluation and operations. He has a B. Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum as well as the Association of Engineers, Geologists and Geophysics of Alberta and has served twice as a Governor of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.
Michael Culbert
Mr. Michael R. Culbert is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Progress Energy Resources Corp. Prior to this, Mr. Culbert was President and Chief Executive Officer of Progress Energy Ltd. from July 2004 to January 2009, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development of Progress Energy Ltd. from November 2001 to July 2004, and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development of Encal Energy Ltd. from 1995 to October 2001. Mr. Culbert holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and has over twenty five years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry including a background in marketing, business development, and economics and planning.
Donald Archibald
Mr. Donald Archibald has been an independent business man since March 2008 and currently serves as chairman of Iteration Energy Ltd., and of Cequence Energy Ltd., (both publicly traded oil and gas companies). Prior to this Mr. Archibald was the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Cyries Energy Inc. from July 2004 to March 2008. Mr. Archibald was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cequel Energy Inc. from January 2002 to July 2004 and the president and Chief Executive Officer of Cypress Energy Inc. from 1995 to March 2001. He has considerable public company experience and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Masters of Business Administration.
John Brussa
Mr. John A. Brussa, is a partner of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP since 1987 and is presently the head of its Tax Department. Mr. Brussa received his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Windsor in 1981 and currently serves as a director of a number of publicly listed resource corporations, a mutual fund trust and investment dealer and several non-profit or charitable organizations.
Howard Crone
Mr. Howard Crone has been President and CEO of Cequence Energy Ltd., (a public oil and gas company) since July 2009. Prior to this Mr. Crone was an independent business man during the period from July 2004 to July 2009. He was Vice President, Corporate Development and Chief Operating Officer of Cequel Energy Inc. from August 2003 to July 2004 and prior thereto was Vice President, Operations and Chief Operating Officer of Cequel Energy Inc. from January 2002 to August 2003. He was Vice President, Operations and Chief Operating Officer of Cypress Energy Inc. from 1995 to March 2001. Mr. Crone has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.
R. Scott Lawrence
Mr. R. Scott Lawrence is Vice President, Head of Relationship Investments for the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (“CPPIB”). Mr. Lawrence brings extensive financial and capital markets experience to the Board of Directors having been a Senior Principal in CPPIB’s Private Investments – Infrastructure investment group, an investment professional at Onex Corporation, and having held positions in both finance and operations at GE Capital Real Estate and GE Plastics. Mr. Lawrence holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University.
Brian McLachlan
Mr. McLachlan has been the President and CEO of Yoho Resources Inc. (a public oil and gas company) since January 2005. Prior to this, Mr. McLachlan was a consultant in the oil and gas industry from December 2003, the President and CEO of Taurus Exploration Ltd. (a private oil and gas company) from October 1998 to December 2003 and President and CEO of Paragon Petroleum Ltd. (a public oil and gas company) prior to October 1998.
Gary Perron
Mr. Gary Perron, is a Managing Director & Senior Vice President with BMO Nesbitt Burns and has provided investment advisory services for more than 28 years. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Honours) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Mr. Perron is Chairman of the Advisory Committee for the Norrep Group of funds which currently manages six public funds and four limited partnerships. Mr. Perron has served as a director of several public companies in which he represented the shareholders and received first-hand experience of value creation in public companies.
Terrance Svarich
Mr. Svarich has been President of Devsun Ltd., a private investment company, for the past five years. For ten years prior to this Mr. Svarich was the President of a number of oil and gas companies in calgary and has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Svarich has a bachelor of Science (Engineering) Degree. Mr. Svarich also serves as a director of Yoho Resources Inc. and served as a director of Progress Energy Ltd. from 2001 through 2004.
